During his tenure, his achievements included the establishment of 3M's Health care business in Canada, and the formation of the Orthopedic Products Division, which he grew from start-up to a $200,000,000 global business - at that time the fastest growing business in 3M's history. Mr. Bray, a twenty-five year banker, has spent the last sixteen years managing community banks in Austin, Texas. The first nine years of his career were spent focused on banking a variety of specialized industries, including energy, healthcare, and media primarily in the San Antonio, Cleveland and New York markets. More recently, while in Austin, he has developed similar levels of experience with the entertainment (film and music) and construction industries. Bray returned to Austin in 1991, where he had received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas, to join Liberty National Bank. As Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Liberty National Bank, Chip was a key member of the management team which shepherded the bank through tremendous growth (from < $50 million to $147 million) and a profitable sale to Norwest (ultimately Wells Fargo). In 1997, after a one year stint with Norwest, he took the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer with Life Savings Bank, a troubled Austin-based state savings bank. Life Savings was subsequently renamed Liberty Bank, and over the next seven years, Chip played an instrumental role in turning the bank around and growing it from $45 million to $176 million, ultimately making it an attractive acquisition target for Prosperity Bank. For the past three years, Bray has served as Banking Center President responsible for Prosperity's Downtown, Allandale and Oak Hill banking facilities. Chip's community involvement in Austin has included serving on the boards of Meals on Wheels and More, Austin Music Foundation, Austin Film Society, Scenic Austin and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
