One Earth Bank will engage in a host of business practices that reflect our commitment to social and environmental stewardship — practices such as minimizing our own energy use through green building and other energy saving activities, employing a paperless banking solution, working with developers to explore ways to maximize profits by greening a project, encouraging online transactions to minimize car trips, paying a living wage, encouraging volunteerism amongst our staff, and more.
In addition to making traditional loans — mortgages, commercial real estate loans, small- to medium-sized business loans, and consumer loans — we intend to put an emphasis on lending our depositors' funds to the following types of projects and businesses:
